Math Olympiads
Math Olympiads is an ASAP (after school activities program) for students in grade 4-5. The group will meet Wednesdays for one hour per week. Students are also invited to participate in 5 monthly individual contests, starting in November, to challenge their mathematical problem-solving.
Goals for the program include:
To stimulate enthusiasm and a love for Mathematics
To introduce important Mathematical concepts
To teach major strategies for problem solving
To develop Mathematical flexibility in solving problems
To strengthen Mathematical intuition
To foster Mathematical creativity and ingenuity
To provide for the satisfaction, joy, and thrill of meeting challenges
To learn more about the program visit the MOEMS website. Maximum enrollment for the program is 25 students. The cost per student for the school year is $300. Five instructor-proctered contests will be hosted at Seldens.
If you would like to register your child, sign up through the Fall ASAP Registration link; Maximum number of students is 25. Please do not register your child for any other ASAP class on Wednesday if they will participate in Math Olympiad.
ASAP Registration is open Tuesday, 9/10/24 @ 8pm and closes Friday, 9/20/2024 @ 9pm
